We’ve had a great time with Christmas this year and loved our third and final Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Schmidt (with special guest star Uncle Abby). Santa made Chloe’s dreams come true by bringing her her very own kitchen which she absolutely adores! Top Chef here we come!

Christmas Eve
We spent Christmas Eve with Grandpa Mark and Uncle Jason this year and had an amazing time! Chloe loved exploring Grandpa Mark’s house and hanging out with the boys. Opening packages wasn’t too shabby either, Grandpa got her a new favorite doll that has yet to leave her sight!

Santa
After only getting to see Santa from the boat last week Chloe was finally able to sit and have a chat with Santa this morning. We were a little worried that she was going to be afraid after the Grinch incident on the boat but were amazed at how quickly she took to Santa, it was a big help that the Santa we went to see has had 15 years of HoHoHo’ing under his belt and was able to distract her with a candy cane and talk about Rudolph and babies. So cute..
Cheney Christmas
We had our first Christmas in our house with Uncle Jason and Grandma GiGi over the weekend and it was a hoot! After planning out Chloe’s “Christmas” morning surprise we learned that life with a toddler doesn’t always go as planned, Chloe had an attack of the anti-sleeps and got to see what Santa had brought her early. She was still just as excited to see her new toys the next morning. Hurrah for a fun and memorable first Cheney Christmas!
To the North Pole!
Last weekend we went on a cruise to the North Pole (really around Lake Couer D’Alene) We had a great time even though we only got to see Santa from the boat. Chloe really enjoyed the lights and running around on the boat but was not a big fan of the Grinch who ran around on the dock as we were leaving and returning to the dock.
