Standing

Chloe has been stand more and more all by herself. So far she hasn't taken any steps but likes to just stand up for a minute here and there before she sits back down and crawls away :o)

Squeak!! Chloe has her first pair of squeaky shoes and loves romping around the house in them!

Tunnel

Chloe's favorite game right now is chase, she loves having her dad chase her up the stairs, around the house and through her tunnel. Even when he isn't home Chloe will look behind her and giggle waiting for him to come and get her :o)

Chloe Dance

Chloe has been really into dancing in front of her stereo and figuring out what all of the buttons do lately, she's gotten pretty good at turning it on and switching cd's

Pancake Monster!

Chloe has become quite the breakfast fiend and loves feeding herself pancakes and eggs, lucky for us the staff at Frank's love her and don't mind the mess that stuffing her face creates

Snow!!

It has been snowing like crazy around here so we decided to take the opportunity to try out the sled and Chloe's Great Grandma gave her dad, unfortunately the wind has also been rather intense around here and Chloe was not feeling sledding in the wind. Thus here are a few pre-outing photos

Helping

Chloe has entered the "dumping" stage of life and loves taking things out of drawers and baskets. We have to watch what we leave out or open because she will empty anything we let.

Food Time!

Although life has yet to bring Chloe teeth it has brought her the need to start feeding herself. She has a few different techniques she's been working on but the one that seems to work the best is the palm to the mouth with the support of her open hand. We've now gone two weeks without any pureed food and things are going great! Chloe is loving everything and so far we haven't met a texture she doesn't like. The only downside we've found so far is walking through the produce department has grown increasingly tricky. Chloe has a minor panic attack at the sight of her two favorite fruits (bananas and avocados) and thinks that when she see's one it is going to be headed for her mouth, when that doesn't happen she gets a bit cranky but nothing a little distraction can't solve :o)

9 months

Can you believe that Chloe is already 9 months old! I for one can't! We had her 9 month check up today and as always she is off the charts for her height. This time around she was 29 1/2 inches long (the length of a 13 month old) and 18 pounds (right on target for her age). She is babbling away now and loves to sing songs and dance with us. She's also started to make up her own little games her favorite of which is being chased. You never know when a game is going to happen but when she thinks it's time she's give a little giggle and double time away until she wants to be caught (she turns around and lets us know haha) She's still going to town with her walker and is standing more and more often on her own. She's also started eating by herself, her favorite foods right now are pancakes, avocado, banana, peppers and toast :0)
